  Fair Flower Show The Fairfield County Federated Garden Clubs held their fall flower show “  A Great County Fair, ” Monday, October 9 in the art hall at the Fairfield County Fair. Basil Garden Club was the host for the Bremen Garden Club, Carroll Community Garden Club, Faithful Gardeners Garden Club and Mystical Gardeners-Bremen Junior Club. These clubs are members of the Ohio Association of Garden Clubs. Jane Adkins, an OAGC Accredited Flower Show Judge from Grove City, judged the show. The show included education exhibits by the host club. Hoffman’s Flowers of Baltimore displayed a commercial exhibit. Janice Gallagher, of Bremen Garden Club, won the Artistic Best of Show for Log Cabin, a designer’s choice using wood in the design. Mary Warga, of Faithful Gardeners Garden Club, won the Judge’s Award of Distinction for her creative design of a Demolition Derby. The Horticulture Best of Show was a celosia grown by Jeff Green of Lancaster. The Junior’s Best of Show Artistic was the Junior Fair Animals, a rooster featuring ornamental grass tail feathers by Rhiannon Dicken, 12, of Mystical Junior Gardeners Garden Club-Bremen. Visitors to the show voted on their favorite design and selected Dicken’s rooster as the People’s Choice Award.  ARTISTIC Classes: ã   Fair Avenue Entrance Gate - Creative Transparency.
